Introductory Slip Casting Class
Wednesday Night 3 week class. Starts: 5/28, 6/4, 6/11. 6-7:30pm. $270.

Slip Casting Ceramics: Introductory Course
Explore the slip casting process using pre-made plaster molds in this hands-on introductory ceramics class. You’ll pour liquid clay (slip) into a variety of molds to create ceramic forms, then refine, glaze, and finish your own pieces. Our studio offers access to hundreds of vintage molds, giving you a wide range of shapes and styles to experiment with. After casting, your work will be kiln-fired, and you’ll learn basic glazing techniques. The number of finished pieces you create will depend on the molds you choose and the number of castings you complete. If you don’t finish glazing during class time, you’re welcome to return during open studio hours to complete your work. 1 gallon of slip is provided, should be enough for 2-6 pieces depending on on the size of the molds. All materials provided.

Thursday Evening Beginner Pottery Class
Starts: 7/3 – 8/7. $395, 5-7:30pm, 6 wk class
Quaker Bridge Mall location. Lower Level by JC Penney’s
Instructor: TBA
Includes: 1 bag of clay, glaze and firings are included in the price. Up to 15 hours of open studio is available for Free to work on your skills for the duration of your 8 week class. If you miss class you can take the hours missed to use towards open studio time or in another class if there is availability. There is a sign in sheet for the open studio hours. Open studio hours ends 1 week after the last day of class. You might have clay left over, you can take the clay with you. Depending on your level and projects it is possible to not get through a whole bag of clay in one session. You can use it for the next session or take the clay with you. Bring your own tools & apron. You can purchase additional studio time for $10/hr.
Please note: students are expected to clean up after themselves during classes and open studio.

Tuesday PM Hand-building & Wheel Throwing
Starts: 6/24-8/12. $450
5:30-8pm, 2.5 hour 8 wk class

8-Week, 2.5 hour each week, Pottery Class: Hand-building & Wheel Throwing
Unleash your creativity with clay in this exciting 8-week pottery class! Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, this course offers a well-rounded introduction to both hand-building and wheel throwing.
For the first four weeks, you’ll explore hand-building techniques to create a mug, a set of small dishes, a lidded box, and a butter dish—all while learning essential skills like slab construction, coiling, and surface decoration. Then, in the second half of the course, you’ll get hands-on experience with the potter’s wheel, where you’ll learn to center clay, pull up walls, and shape your own bowls and cups.
With step-by-step guidance and plenty of room for creativity, you’ll leave the class with a collection of beautiful, functional pottery and the confidence to continue your journey in clay. Whether you’re brand new to pottery or looking to build on past experience, this class is a fun and supportive way to develop your skills!
Come ready to get messy and have fun!
