8-Week Pottery Class: Hand-building & Wheel Throwing
Unleash your creativity with clay in this exciting 8-week pottery class! Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills, this course offers a well-rounded introduction to both hand-building and wheel throwing.
For the first four weeks, you’ll explore hand-building techniques to create a mug, a set of small dishes, a lidded box, and a butter dish—all while learning essential skills like slab construction, coiling, and surface decoration. Then, in the second half of the course, you’ll get hands-on experience with the potter’s wheel, where you’ll learn to center clay, pull up walls, and shape your own bowls and cups.
With step-by-step guidance and plenty of room for creativity, you’ll leave the class with a collection of beautiful, functional pottery and the confidence to continue your journey in clay. Whether you’re brand new to pottery or looking to build on past experience, this class is a fun and supportive way to develop your skills!
Come ready to get messy and have fun!
