Why Choose Us?
For more than 13 years, I’ve taught pottery with one goal: to help students truly understand the wheel.

Many teaching methods rely on —you watch, you copy, and then struggle to repeat later. Our approach is different. We explain the “why” behind every step: posture, pressure, hand placement, and multiple ways of pulling up walls.

With this foundation, our students gain more than skills—they gain confidence and independence in their skills.

Beginner class

In this 12-week class students will be introduced to clay beginning with hand building projects that will introduce students to clay and wheel throwing. We will explore various techniques that will teach the basics of clay and how to manipulate it from mud to useable items. After the first half we will move to the wheel and learn how to center clay and create objects on the pottery wheel. The class will also cover different decorating and embellishment techniques. The instructor Christina Johnson believes that am introduction to clay as a beginner should be a fun start on a journey and aims to demystify the process and create a fun space to learn and explore.
