One Time Try it Sessions for Newbies
Calling all pottery wheel newbies! Ever wonder what it’d be like to use a pottery wheel and try throwing your very own pieces? Here’s your chance to give it a shot!
$85 for 1person, $160 for 2 people, $230 for 3 people. Includes instruction and glazing of your pieces. When signing up for appointment classes each person must sign up individually. We have 10 spots per opening available. 1.5-2hr class. The last 30 mins is left for cleaning up. Included in the price is glazing and firing of your piece! Registration required. Clean up is required. Dress in clothes you can get dirty in. We provide smocks but you can bring a towel to put over your legs. You will make 1 piece. You will be able to glaze your piece on the same day

8 week Winter 2024-2025 Pottery Wheel Classes:
Sign up for a specific class but have the flexibility to join another class if you miss a class or cannot make it on your specified date. You will need your own pottery tools. You can purchase tools at the studio.
Beginner classes are open to anyone! No experience necessary!
Advanced Beginner requires students to be able to center a pound of clay and make a 4” cylinder independently
Intermediate requires students to be able to center 3 pounds of clay and cylinders independently. In this class, you will be challenged to make more advanced projects that may require finishing on your own time
We reserve the right to move students based on skill level.

Monday Night Beginner to Advanced Beginner Pottery Wheel & Handbuilding Class
Starts: 11/4 – 12/23. $350, 8 wk 2 hr Winter Session
5-7pm, 8 wk 2 hr Winter Session
Instructor: Christina Johnson, BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design
Includes: 1 bag of clay, glaze and firings are included in the price. Up to 15 hours of open studio is available for Free to work on your skills for the duration of your 8 week class. If you miss class you can take the hours missed to use towards open studio time or in another class if there is availability. There is a sign in sheet for the open studio hours. Open studio hours ends 1 week after the last day of class. You might have clay left over, you can take the clay with you. Depending on your level and projects it is possible to not get through a whole bag of clay in one session. You can use it for the next session or take the clay with you. Bring your own tools & apron. You can purchase additional studio time for $10/hr. You can purchase an extra bag of white stoneware clay $75 & $90 for light or dark specked brown clay. Upgrade for $15 more.
